Friend in trouble
I have a friend who lives near me. She's 16 years old, and have at least two male stalkers who live within driving distance. They are harassing her and Im trying to convince her to go to the police, if nothing else, but to scae them off. However, she refuses to tell anyone but me. Im really concerned, because from what I observe, at least one of them is capable of actualy aproacing her physicaly. I have told her to ignore all online contact from him, in hope that he will see that he's not getting anywhere. I also told her keep some pepper-spray/maze in her purse, just in case.
Any input or suggestions would be much apreciated. I dont feel its in my place to go over her head and contact the authoryties before he actualy tries to aproach her...

Re: Friend in trouble
My only advice in this situation is DO NOT delay. If these guys pose a substantial threat to her, contact the authorities. She may be mad at you for a while for doing it, but it beats standing by while something far worse happens.
Re: Friend in trouble
Tell her to get a tazer XD sorry, i shouldn't be stupid about this.
I agree 100% with DT. she may be mad, but atleast she will be safe.

Thing is, I dont have anything to tell them. If I say my friend has a stalker who may be a threat to her(wich is all the info I have) they will tell me they cant do nothing about it. Right now, Im trying to get her to work on her self esteem.

I think survival trumps self-esteem. And if he does something else to her, that will only make it worse.

Then what do i do? Tell anyone else and she will deny it, tell the police and they'll say "Tough luck, cant do nothing about it"

Even if the cops won't do anything, you have a responsibility to inform them of what's going on.
