Game Features

What kind of features would you want them to include in a Pokemon game?

A few I thought up:
* Choice of what kind of trainer to be, not just which gender. Possibility of different abilities and storylines based on this choice.
* Access to regions like the Orange Islands.
* A different battle mechanic where you could maneuver your Pokemon and time their attacks, similar to the Megaman Battle Network games.
* An arrangement where multiple attacks could somehow be combined into one for a stronger move (example: instead of Volt Tackle being its own move, it would be Tackle or Quick Attack combined with an electric move like Thundershock).

Anyone else have ideas? I may use these in a fanfic.
